Our deep respect for the Pearl District's history and vitality extends beyond The Wyatt's design inspiration. Authentic elements from the location's previous warehouse—including old-growth timber and brick—are used in The Wyatt's construction to striking effect.

A local landmark has also been safeguarded. An ivy-covered trestle stretched across NW 13th Avenue, from the neighboring brewpub to the warehouse that previously stood on the Wyatt site. The Bridgeport Brewpub and Bakery building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is among the oldest and most honored sites within the Pearl District neighborhood. The Wyatt team worked with the brewpub building owner, and city and state officials, to re-attach the trestle and once again join together the neighboring buildings. The trestle will oversee a rebuilt NW 13th Avenue, preserving the neighborhood's rich past and vibrant future.

Regeneration of Portland Condos For decades, the old Merchant Marine warehouse stood on The Wyatt site. Original red brick from the warehouse was saved and will be given new life as part of The Wyatt's sustainable approach to building.

A steel trestle—one of the Pearl District's oldest and most familiar landmarks—is being restored, connecting The Wyatt to the historic brewpub and bakery building. Portland Condo Regeneration

Building Portland Condos In the former Merchant Marine warehouse building, regal old-growth timbers were the underpinnings of bustling activity and commerce throughout the history of The Wyatt location. These timbers have been reclaimed from the former warehouse to once again be used in the new retail location.
